Cricket Bourget was born and raised in Detroit until her family moved to Arizona when she was in middle school. Having started working around the law when she got her first job as a receptionist at a small firm while still a teenager, the legal field is the only place she has ever worked. Over the years, she moved up in the field and, aside from a brief stint at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, she has always worked in small firms or for sole practitioners—criminal defense, civil litigation, white collar crime, family law, land use, constitutional law, and civil rights. Cricket says, “Most people are intimidated by their—usually unwanted—encounters with the legal system, and I feel great satisfaction in helping them through their problems. I would never want to be a lawyer, but, since I am fortunate to have always worked with top-notch trial litigators whose skills and style I admire, I can say that I enjoy working with lawyers.”
